Definition of Bandwidth
Bandwidth is the capacity that can be used on an ethernet cable so that data packet traffic can be passed with a certain maximum. Another definition of internet bandwidth is the amount of data transfer consumption which is calculated in units of time bits per second (bps). So internet bandwidth is the maximum capacity of communication lines to process data sending and receiving in seconds.
1. Digital Bandwidth
The unit of account of the data transferred in bits per second in a network that can be transmitted over a communication channel without a hitch. This bandwidth transmits information digitally, either over cable channels or wirelessly (wireless).
2. Analog Bandwidth
Its function is the same as digital bandwidth, the difference is that the unit of calculation uses Hertz.
Bandwidth Function
The following is a function of Bandwidth including:
- Data Transfer Media Size
- Split Data Transfer Speed
- Setting the amount of data transferred
