How to Use Imunify in Plesk

ImunifyAV and Imunify360 are security extensions for Plesk that protect your server and websites from malware, exploits, and brute-force attacks — with automatic scanning, cleaning, and real-time protection.


Step 1: Log in to Plesk

Go to:

https://your-server-ip:8443

Log in with your Plesk credentials.


Step 2: Open Imunify from the Sidebar

  • In the left sidebar, click ImunifyAV or Imunify360

  • If it's not installed, go to Extensions > Extension Catalog, search for "Imunify", and click Install

ImunifyAV is free with manual cleaning.
Imunify360 is premium with real-time and automatic defense.


Step 3: Scan Your Website

  • Click Start Scan or Scan All Domains

  • Imunify will check for:

    • Malware

    • Infected PHP files

    • Backdoors and injected code

    • Suspicious files

Scans usually take a few minutes depending on the size of your files.


Step 4: Review Scan Results

After the scan:

  • Infected files are listed with their paths

  • You can click View to see the file content

  • Choose to Clean, Ignore, or Quarantine

Imunify360 offers 1-click auto-cleaning


Step 5: Enable Real-Time Protection (Imunify360)

If you're using Imunify360:

  • Real-time protection is enabled by default

  • It blocks:

    • Malware uploads

    • Known exploits

    • Suspicious scripts

    • Brute-force login attempts

You can view blocked IPs and activity logs under the Firewall tab.


Step 6: Configure Automatic Scanning

  • Go to Settings

  • Enable scheduled scans (e.g., daily or weekly)

  • Choose whether to auto-clean or notify only


Step 7: Monitor and Respond

Use Imunify’s dashboard to:

  • Track threats and activity

  • View recent scans

  • Manage quarantine files

  • Set email alerts for detected threats
