How to Create an Email Account in Plesk

Plesk makes it easy to create and manage professional email addresses for any domain hosted on your server.


Step 1: Log in to Plesk

Go to:

https://your-server-ip:8443

Log in with your Plesk credentials.


Step 2: Go to the Mail Section

  • In the left sidebar, click Mail

  • Select the domain you want to create an email account for (if there are multiple)


Step 3: Add New Email Account

  • Click Create Email Address

  • Fill in the following:

    Field Description
    Email Address Enter the name (e.g. info, support)
    Domain Choose the domain (e.g. @yourdomain.com)
    Password Create a strong password or generate one automatically
    Mailbox Size Optional — set storage limit in MB or leave as default
  • Click OK to create the account


Step 4: Access the Email Account

You can access the mailbox in two ways:

1. Webmail
  • Go to:

    https://webmail.yourdomain.com
    
  • Log in using your full email and password

2. Email Client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Mobile)
  • Use the following general settings:

    Setting Value
    Incoming (IMAP/POP) mail.yourdomain.com
    Outgoing (SMTP) mail.yourdomain.com
    Username Full email address
    Encryption SSL/TLS (recommended)

You can find these details in Mail > [Your Email] > Mail Settings.


Optional Settings

  • Enable/disable antivirus or spam protection for the mailbox

  • Set forwarding to another email

  • Configure auto-reply from the Mail settings page
